Rumours of Jeremy Van Horebeek signing with SDM Corse Beta Factory Racing finally came to fruition earlier today, as it was announced that he will lead the term into their first term in the FIM Motocross World Championship. He brings a great deal of credibility and knowledge to the program in what will be a pivotal debut year for the manufacturer. Van Horebeek, 31, is coming off finishing ninth in the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship despite missing the final round of the season. He will be joined by young Frenchman Jimmy Clochet creating a two-man roster for Beta this year. Along with the partnership, the team also announced the signing of former Vice-World Champion Jeremy Van Horebeek to contest another season in MXGP. Tapping into a huge market like China and India can be very profitable for us.Huge news today as Beta Motorcycles has teamed up with the SDM Corse Racing Team to enter the FIM Motocross World Championship for 2021. I've succumbed to the idea that it's an international market nowadays, so instead of fighting it, roll with the punches and leverage it to make more coin. What's your thoughts on why it's more profitable in Asia?

I don't have the numbers, but going from the United Soviet Socialist Republic of California to, oh, Colorado still costs nothing other than a change in state taxes and travel costs, right? Yeah, was thinking about those races in Indonesia, Argentina and I believe they ran some in China? Also, where's that one they are running in Russia? Crossing borders of countries has to cost something additional, as well.

Why? I'm pretty opinionated on this and think I have an the answers, but I don't think it's a coincidence that the countries doing all the manufacturing have the spending power. So clearly the Asian markets are more profitable. It's interesting because the travel costs are only higher if you go to markets like Asia. May 23…Oss, Holland (Postponed to later date) There is no firm information about the Sardinia race, but it could be held on October 31 (where Infront currently has a TBA date for a proposed Italian Grand Prix).Ģ021 PROVISIONAL GRAND PRIX SCHEDULE (REVISED) On a side note, Infront is in the process of negotiations for an MXGP race to be held at the Riola Sardo track in Sardinia, Italy. And with the cancellation of France and four To Be Announced (TBA) races on the 2021 MXGP schedule it looks like Walmart Parking lot could have a good shot of getting a 2021 Grand Prix.
MXGP 2021 FORUM SERIES
The French GP date is still on the 2021 MXGP schedule because another French track, most likely Ernee, could step up and take the date.Īdditionally, the British Grand Prix, promoted by Steve Dixon, which is not on the current 2021 series schedule, is optimistic that there will be a British GP at Matterley Basin in 2021.

Saint-Jean d’Angély also tried to get MXGP’s Infront sanctioning body to lower the sanction fees to make the race feasible with the reduced spectator limit, but they could not come to terms. The track could not get permission to hold the race with an acceptable number of spectators allowed by the French government. Unfortunately, the 2021 French Grand Prix at Saint-Jean d’Angély on October 10, has been canceled by the local organiser. Oss organiser Ebert Dollevoet says that they are waiting for the MXGP group to come out with a new 2021 Grand Prix schedule and hope to have a new date later in the season for the Oss race. Although MXGP has yet to make an official announcement, the local Oss organising group has called the Dutch Grand Prix off as the coronavirus situation in Holland is still a big issue. On the last 2021 World Motocross Championship calendar, the MXGP series was supposed to start on May 23, 2021, in Oss, Holland, but that is no longer the case. Looks like the series is already losing some race locations.
